Everyone should help out
According to the USA Today in the May 14, 2009 edition, Pfizer says it will provide 70 of its most widely prescribed prescription drugs — including Lipitor, Viagra, some antibiotics and others — free to people who have lost their jobs and health insurance. The world's biggest drugmaker said Thursday that it will give away the medicines for up to a year to Americans who lost jobs since Jan. 1 and have been on the Pfizer (PFE) drug three months or more. It occurs to me the Phillip-Morris company could get on the bandwagon and provide some Marlboro Lights to their customers who've been using their products over 3 months also. With all that free time on their hands and Viagra in their medicine cabinets, it's reasonable to expect the consumption of cigarettes to rise too among the group least likely to be able to afford it now.
